Mobile hotels | Rotel tours | Rotel bus hotel

The Rotel, a combination between a bus and a hotel, has been conducting worldwide tours for the last 50 years.
Yes, the Rotel is kind of like an RV, only it will take you to the end of the world, if the price is right. Rotel Tours was founded by a German entrepreneur (ironically named George Hotel), in 1959, and has since then conducted tours all around the world. From the mountains of Tibet to the scorching Sahara Desert, or the famous Taj Mahal, there’s literally no place the Rotel can’t take German tourists.
Featuring three-foot-wide and three-foot-high bunks, accessible through a zippered curtain, Rotel isn’t exactly the most comfortable hotel in the world, but it’s the only one that will take you around the world. The only serious problem is, while the Rotel features a bathroom, there are no showers. But the tour operator says its mobile hotels do make occasional stops, specifically for bathing purposes.

Woven carpet made from recycled cigarette stubs

As you can see in the above image, it is not that easy to make out whether the woven carpet utilizes standard textile or is an outcome of an artist’s painstaking efforts. Spotted at the Sharjah Biennale, the carpet created by a Puerto Rican artist, Jesus Bubu Negron utilizes numerous yellow and white cigarette stubs. Asking the street cleaners to collect used cigarette butts for his piece of art, the latter showed exceptional skills in sieving and hooking these butts up to create the woven carpet. The carpet utilizes the paper of the cigarettes unrolled and layered on top of each other.

6 year old boy who was born with 15 fingers and 16 toes

A Chinese hospital has released images of a 6-year-old boy who was born with 15 fingers and 16 toes. Since more isn’t always better, he’ll soon undergo surgery to have the extras removed.

With a total of 31 fingers and toes, the boy, who’s identity hasn’t been revealed, has beaten the previous record of 25. According to scientists, the excess of fingers and toes is a result of gene mutation.
