World’s shortest man has died in rome at the age of 21

The world's shortest man — 2 feet, 5.37 inches tall — has died in Rome, the BBC reports. He was 21 years old.

He Pingping of China was recognized as the shortest man in March 2008 by Guinness World Records. He died Saturday after being hospitalized the past two weeks following complaints of chest pains while filming an episode for a TV show. His cause of death was not announced.

"From the moment I laid on eyes on him, I knew he was someone special," Craig Glenday, Guinness World Records editor-in-chief, told the BBC. "He had such a cheeky smile and mischievous personality, you couldn't help but be charmed by him. For such a small man, he made a huge impact around the world."

Empty milk carton castle in guinness book of records

Built back in May, during an event that took place in Granada, Spain, this recycled castle was made of 50,000 empty milk cartons.
Designed by the students of the Facultad de Arquitectura de Granada (Granada’s Architectural College), the milk carton castle of Granada was built exclusively out of tens of thousands of empty milk cartons, gathered by over 5,000 primary school children. The three schools that gathered the most number of milk cartons had the privilege to attend the unveiling ceremony and see the end result of their efforts.
The 29-meters-long, 14.07-meter wide and 7-meter-high milk carton castle was acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest sculpture ever made with recycled materials.

World's smallest helicopter experienced in moscow

The world's smallest helicopter was experienced in Moscow. This aircraft weighs only 70kg and it made an entry into the Guinness Book of Records.

The helicopter was designed by the President of Engineering System Co. Japan, Mr. Gennai Yanagisawa. The company officials say that it usually takes about 40 hours to assemble the helicopter.

The aircraft looks like a chair on the wheels with two helicopter vanes.

The helicopter is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 60 mph and a height of 3,000 meters.

The frame of the GEN H-4 is made of two-inch aluminum pipes. Located in front of the pilot is the control pod with the throttle, tachometer, main switch, starter switch and yaw switch. Four GEN125 engines power this helicopter.

World's smallest helicopterThe helicopter is powered by four engines which make it safe. If one or two of the engines stop working, two other engines will be powerful enough to continue the flight. For emergency situations the helicopter is equipped with the parachute.

The lightweight transmission consists of cast aluminum upper and lower cases with a total of 27 precision ground, with heat-treated gears sandwiched in between. Two rotors travel in opposite directions, keeping the helicopter stable by counteracting each other's torque, so that there is no need for a tail rotor. Yaw is controlled through a differential gear within the transmission, driven by an electric motor. The fuel type required is a 30:1 mixture of automobile gasoline and two stroke oil.

For those Russians who want to become the owners of the aircraft, the helicopter is available at the price of 2 million rubles ($65,000).

World's Oldest Cat Birthday

World's oldest cat celebrates 125th birthday
A feline believed to be the world's oldest cat has celebrated his 125th birthday.

oldest-cat-birthdayAnd at 27 human years, Mischief is still living up to his name despite "slowing down a little", according to owners Chris and Donna Thorne.

The Guinness World Records has confirmed there is no record holder in the UK at the moment but the previous oldest cat was 29.

Mrs Thorne, 33, of St Austell, Cornwall, said: "It's amazing - he just keeps going on and on."

Mr Thorne, 51, got the black cat from a friend in nearby Launceston as a kitten in 1981.

He still has photographs of Mischief at just a few months old being cuddled at Christmas the same year.

Almost three decades later, he is still a vital part of the Thorne family, and is adored the couple's 20-month-old baby Skye.

"She loves him to bits," said Mrs Thorne. "When he eventually goes we'll have to get another one because she'll be devastated."

She said that despite Mischief's advanced years, he still has a spring in his step.

"His name says it all," she said. "He may be 27 but he still manages to jump over the stair gate and he's round your ankles constantly for food.

"He's an indoor cat now, and he's losing big clumps of fur, but he's still going."

She added: "We'd love to know if there are any older cats in Cornwall. He's lost a couple of his nine lives over the years but it doesn't seem to have affected him."

A spokesman from Guinness World Records said a ginger cat called Spike was the last feline to hold the title of UK's oldest cat but since he died in 2001, there had been no further record holder. He encouraged Mr and Mrs Thorne to get in contact with Guinness World Records.

The oldest cat ever is Creme Puff, who was born on August 3, 1967 and lived until August 6, 2005 an amazing 38 years and three days.

Creme Puff lived with her owner, Jake Perry, in Austin, Texas.

Narrowest Street in the World (Guinness Book of Records)

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the narrowest street in the world is located in Reutlingen, Germany. In reality, it's just a passageway, an exit from a rear courtyard. In the eighteenth century, this district was completely destroyed in a huge fire. To ensure that, in future, fires couldn't spread so easily from house to house, a narrow space was left between them. Measuring just 31cm in width, it quickly went into the record books as the narrowest street in the world, even though it isn't much of a street.
