Smallest steam locomotive enlivens the old glory

Smallest functional steam locomotive
Locomotive are out of use simply because they pollute too much and waste approximately 60% of the energy generated by using coal. However, those who love the old glories, Japan is the right place to feel those days when locomotives were used. However, the one we’re talking about isn’t a big one but the smallest. Running on pieces of charcoal stuffed into the engine, the smallest locomotive runs on 100 meter long track built alongside the Hanshin railway next to Iwaya Park. The locomotive is capable enough to ferry around 15-20 people at a time with a maximum speed of 7-10 km per hour. Sadly, we don’t know as to who built it or what inspired the creator, but images and video attached here are enough for anyone to appreciate this amazing marvel. More images after the break...

Belive or not

From mid day Mumbai todayLike you,
this man too, had a dream.
Like you, he too pushed his way into the crowded train
Like you, he too wanted to get going before he got delayed
Unlike you, he slipped and fell in the gap between the
train and the platform at Kandivli station.
And eight bogies went over him
Find out what happened to this man on.

The man obviously has a guardian angel and supportive bystanders who
told him exactly what he shouldn't do - move. And so, the man lay
absolutely still as eight bogies of the train passed over him -
centimeters from his head. Within seconds the 12-coach train passed and
the man clambered out, unaided, unhurt, but too shocked to speak to us
after his near-death experience.
